Happy belated Thanksgiving...

We spent the holiday in the emergency room (everyone is ok now) so it wasn't exactly a blast, but c'est la vie.

I'm working on some fairly interesting stuff this week (Arne's belt-driven fixie, John's 29" DH/Freeride bike) so I'll try to post lots of picture and such.

In the meantime, check out this cool (if depressing) interactive map of diabetes rates in the United States. Go Colorado!

With the exception of a few poor wretched with bad genes, diabetes is a disease of obesity. Hence, food over-consumption is root of that evil...

Please tell me that your post relates completely unrelated bits of information.

Or... have the downed tree limbs renewed their offensive?

Sorry #1, Finland has the highest rate of diabetes in the world. They are not fat, or few.......

Sorry Anonymous #1, not all Diabetes is a disease of obesity. Very ignorant on your part.
Read up on Type 1 vs. Type 2. Type 1 isn't always about bad genes and certainly not onset by obesity. Just a bad deal of the pancreas and beta cells getting attacked by the auto-immune system typically in healthy children/adolescents.
Trust me, I live with this crap (type 1) and can tell you it wasn't from being obese. Type 2 is a totally different animal. I won't even go into that.....
