This addresses pretty much every niggling criticism I had of the
Black Cat dropouts (ie, stainless, 2 clamp bolts, no hoods, etc) back a few months ago. And no, for what it's worth, I did not talk to the Paragon guys about them. This is totally new to me. Who wants to volunteer to try 'em out?

They look pretty good to me. I wonder how much chain slack they can take up and whether no set screws means they might slip?
I *think* there's a bit of camming action, so that you'd have to have both bolts come loose to get them to move.
For what it's worth, I never run set screws on my Paragon bikes and I never have any problems.
According to Paragon, total adjustment is about 17mm.
I might could be game for those!
Walt,
I was the driving force behind these dropouts. I have built 2 bikes with them and can answer any questions you might have. Feel free to drop me a line. They are the best single speed drop out on the market.

Nice work! They look fantastic. I only wish I were talented enough to come up with stuff like this - but I'm happy to ride the coat-tails of those who are.
Good work. Got any pictures up on your site of bikes built with 'em?
Now that the cat is out of the bag I will post some photos when I get to work tomorrow. Sean Walling is the other builder that has used them. Tomorrow I am doing another bike so I will put photos up. It is a really small bike and still has good clearance.
Post up another comment here with a link when you do, eh? I'm sure there are a boatload of people who'd like to see them (myself included).
Do they make them with a Rohloff OEM dropout...I'm a guinea pig, if so. Love those.
As of now, I don't see a Rohloff option.
I am game for the test rat.

How do these differ from the top secret by:s dropouts?
EW
I have not heard anything from Steve about the topsecret project in quite a while - so I have no idea. I bet he has something cool up his sleeve, though!
Here you go. Small 29R featuring the new drop out:

I like the idea but man they are kinda ugly, well at least I think so. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
Hey Walt, Put me down for some, with a hangar and eyelets.
