Well, that's not going to work...

I'm not sure how John got this, but it's the biggest 29er tire I have ever seen by at least 10%. Check out the comparo - those are the same model and size, but one is 6.5mm wider and taller. Crazy.

Of course, since it won't actually fit in the fork, it's not such a good thing. Yes, that's almost a _2.7"_ tire, folks. Which makes it, actually, not a "29er" tire at all - this sucker measures 30" in diameter.

Poetic justice for all the years I spent harassing WTB to make a 29" DH tire?

Good tire for a rigid rider.

What tire is that?

It's a "2.5" WTB Dissent.

I don't see how that can happen to just one tire? I mean the mold is the mold?

A portent of things to come.....

Has to have come from a different mold, in my mind. It's 10% wider/taller and also 10% heavier - I can't think of how you'd make this tire in the same mold as the first one.

GT, I agree. Maybe the time for DH 29ers has finally come!

Walt, we got ahold of Mark Slate. He says there is only one mold. Is there anyway you can get the 9 or 10 digit code on the inside of the casing to me? (Or just contact Mark Slate directly with that)

GT -

Looking at the inside of the tire, I don't see any codes or numbers. So unfortunately I don't think I can help with that. I actually wasn't aware that there were batch numbers (or anything else) on the inside.
