Yes, in a way this build sickens me. Because I wish I could justify it for myself...especially the Edge wheels (if you want the 240/King wheels with Stan's rims, subtractg $1300!).

Fancy build, but I am not sure you are right on the money with the XX Crank/SS ring.
The XX crank has 120mm BCD and 80mm rings. To fit an SS ring you would need to go custom. The only vendors that responded to my inquiry on the matter were British and Australian, and their price was around $150 (including 4 weeks lead time).
Also, if you intend to run the ring on the outside (120 BCD), Chris King may not give you proper chain line. Its proprietary lock ring takes away a portion of the shall edge and its impossible to place the cog all the way outboard.
Homebrewed Components has 120bcd aluminum rings for 35.
