Fatbike...schmatbike!

Every once in a while you get just the right conditions for perfect snow riding on your normal mountain bike... and today was not really one of those days but Shoreline is still 95% rideable and 100% fun. I didn't see a soul on the trail in almost an hour of singletrack (amazing how much slower you go with 3" of snow) though I did see a few fatbike tracks.

My camera was not so happy in a blizzard, nor have my photography skills improved...but hopefully you get the idea.

ok so either the wind is helping you take that photo or your bikes stand on their own...

Well, I actually do like this weird picture!
In any case, looks like great fun.

There was a rock in the trail that I propped the pedal on... but thanks to the terrible photography and blizzard you can't really tell.

Or you can choose to believe that my 29ers are so stable that they stay upright on their own!

Hey when are you gonna post more recipes?

Walt, I'd love to own a fat bike but I'm surprised at the winter XC riding that still can be done on my 29'er with 2.4" tires.

So until I can afford a fat bike then yeah, "Fatbike...schmatbike!"
