Sick day, and Blair's new frame

I have contracted some variety of Creeping Crud and will be doing mostly computer work today, just FYI. Hopefully it will pass quickly. I'm not all that bummed, since it's like 10 degrees out, but I'm missing my track session with Nowork too.

Also, here's Blair's new frame. He's a strong early contender for the 2011 Kitchen Sink award, given to any bike with a ridiculous number of features. In this case: Drop bar 29er/monstercross configuration (1 point), direct mount front derailleur (1 point), full length cable housing for all 3 cables (1 point), S&S couplers (1 point), Paragon sliders with derailleur hanger (1 point), and rack mounts (1 point) for a grand total of 5.

That will be hard to beat, folks. He'd need a tapered steerer fork, integrated steering damper mount, guides for a Joplin, rear maxle, and multiple bottle openers to *really* guarantee victory, but this is a pretty decent effort.

How dare you get sick and make me ride by myself.......
So inconsiderate!!

Feel better buddy!

OMG you almost described my next bike. Just add rear suspension and you know, just in case, Rolhoff guides.

Are those the Dedaccai (sp?) chainstays you used on my bike? Love those things, they have some serious clearance going on!

Hey Troy -

Yup, my fave chainstays on earth. Got 'em on my own bike too.

I'd love a little thinner walled version for small folks, but otherwise, they are awesome.

I guess your "off-the-grid" solar system does not generated enough amps for electric heat. How about an update of that system...

You know, it's funny. I have plenty of electricity (we are NOT off the grid - just net-neutral) but I can't seem to make a space heater last more than a few weeks, so I stopped buying them.

Time to get tougher. I worked yesterday in the <5 degrees, wasn't so bad.

Isn't that 6 points?

Heal up quick.

Yours in creeping crud misery - Ed

You forgot to add canti and disc mounts.

And look into a propane space heater

Canti mounts? Screw that, double points for u-brake mounts!

-Fender mounts
-Extra bottle cages *everywhere*
-Internal cable routing
-Crazy headbadge of some kind
-Left side drive?
-Integrated skid plate/bashguard ala mod bike
-Sealed tubes to hold camping fuel
-Wishbone seatstays
-Integrated child seat?
-Dynamo mount

What else can we add?

EBB+sliders that are horizontal DOs

Multiple canti/ubrake mounts on top/bottom of stays to accommodate different wheel sizes.

2 wheel drive

Peg mounts for grinding

Pressurized DT for Shimano Airlines shifters

Integrated racks w/lights

...and the coup de grace...

Softride beam

Feel better, dude.
