I hate you, Mike

While I'm riding the trainer and shivering the shop, my loyal friends are busy having fun in the sun - and rubbing it in my face. Pfeh. At least I can always call up Hassan to hear about the 15 foot high snowdrifts in Northampton.

The other day, it was minus 38 degrees celcius (-36.4 ºF) here in Ottawa, Canada.

Ok, that sucks. I feel warmer already!

Poor Hassan - I do not my old home in the winters. Cheer up, Walt. It'll be 55 by Friday (and windy as all get out, too).

And that was "I do not long for my old home" in winter, but I can still live through nor' easters vicariously through my parents.

Heh, glad I could help put things into perspective! :P

It's impossible to work outside in those temps, at least for anything precision oriented. Heck, things start acting strangely at that temp.

Whoopes, I meant to say, it was -38 with the wind chill. It was only -31 (ish) without wind chill.

NAHBS is a month away. The weather in Austin will be 65* this weekend. There is some tasty singletrack around these parts. All these could be combined for a good visit. You should twist Boardman's arm and head this way next month.

Maybe I should complain more often - now it's looking like the weather is going to be good enough for some mountain biking this weekend...

That's not too bad, I have to actually go do some surveying in this winter weather.
