Troy's taper-steerer all mountain HT, together at last

Thanks to Troy for the photos. Looks like it's a fun bike - I'm jealous!

Nice choice of rims and tires! I've been really happy with the Specialized Captain and Purgatory combo. 2Bliss 20psi in back and 22-25 in front.

Would've sent some more pics but spent too much time riding the goodness of Pisgah. Definitely a fun bike and it rails the switchbacks, nasty gnar up in the big hills of WNC. I rode and cleared more stuff up there than I ever have. Well balanced bike and the drop post made the steeps a lot easier. The techy climbs were easier by dropping the post about an inch as well. Good times!

inthewoods- Yeah, I'm glad you replied about that psi. I think I ran 26-27 on the Purg 2.4 on front and 26 on the Captain on back and it was too much. Still experimenting! The Purg 2.4 is awesome, the Captain is as long as it is dry. I got caught in monsoon thunderstorms in Pisgah 3 days last week and it all happened once i pointed it downhill. Made it interesting but I'd rather have a purgatory or nevegal on the back in those conditions.
