Pointless decoration

Jason's frame has a new style of brace. Check it. Old chainrings weld up real nice.

Sweet! You can even store an extra chainring bolt in there.

No I'd say that's very pointy decoration.

Mountain bikers always find new ways to potentially hurt themselves, huh? My god, now you could burn your calf on the disc brake, and chew it apart with that brace, all at once.

that's super sweet. TOTALLY original! how did you ever think of that? I might have to borrow that one.

Dude, if anyone can manage to jam some part of their body into that part of the bike in a crash, the points on the chainring are the *least* of your worries...

Rusty, if you copy me, I'll complain about it on MTBR incessantly until I drive everyone nuts.

It's my idea! Mine!

Just kidding. I hereby release this awesome technology for the benefit of all humanity - go forth and brace, ye olde chainrings!

It didn't have to be your own body part that gets caught up in there! Come on, use your imagination.

Walt you sell out.

What happened to building for good riding not good looking?

I fully expect to hear of your aquasition by trek within the month and one year down the road to find all treks come with fancy Waltworks branded accessories ;-)

Hey, I started down this slippery slope a long time ago with the s-bend stays...

All show, no go. My new motto...

I think I'll use a straight razor on the next one. You think chainring teeth are sharp...

anybody remembers the "squirrel in a disc brake " story? I don´t know why I have to rember this when looking at the disc brace.

I don´t think it is dangerous but unluckily it is kinda ugly.

Soory walt. the rest of the frame looks great and I wonder if you start to use the lug-like sleeve on top of the seattube more regulary. I like it a lot.

Ugly?!? How dare you!

I guess if you want a bike, B.Asti, we'll have to think of something else to use there. :)

As soon as I subscribe a solid employement contract we have to think about that in concrete. This and a bunch of other stupid ideas to replace my ol´second hand waltworks.

btw: Do you already know the author Stanislav Lem?
I´m pretty sure this is some SciFi you´ld like. I recommend to start with "the star diaries"
