So much that I try hard to like the other company offerings, although Shimano usually "wins" due to their history and uber marketing power. So let us know how it goes.<br />And now I must return to my project of reducing my oxplat head tube on my beloved's frame so it has .4mm thickness where, you know, it doesn't really matter...har har. I am shooting for a 23 gram weight savings here. I know it will be worth it. wish me luck.Margohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07556392565133481959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36151678.post-7566005243649226262009-12-16T00:57:29.357-08:002009-12-16T00:57:29.357-08:00Walt, it hasn't even arrived, you haven't ...Walt, it hasn't even arrived, you haven't installed it nor seen it and you are raving! One thing I found annoying is that the mounting point ends up just above the butted part of most light seat-tubes. And the SLX one is not available in DMD and 2 rings version at the same time !EdelBikeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09975556688075516772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36151678.post-40269006414370940372009-12-15T13:20:14.802-08:002009-12-15T13:20:14.802-08:00hey, i had one of those (lx) derailers (still do a...hey, i had one of those (lx) derailers (still do actually, just not in use). those *were* nice!Panascakeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09737321520575674827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36151678.post-77096382404700960112009-12-15T10:54:35.546-08:002009-12-15T10:54:35.546-08:00Dang Walt, just when I thought I had it all figure...Dang Walt, just when I thought I had it all figured out! I imagine you could make an adapter that would clamp on (sort of defeating the original purpose) that would allow FD use without a cable stop...probably easier to use a normal front derailleur and one of those clamp-on cable stops, I imagine.Walthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09156620599767391579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36151678.post-40061832572675454652009-12-15T10:08:30.099-08:002009-12-15T10:08:30.099-08:00So I think that front der would help me convert my...So I think that front der would help me convert my ss to a geared bike, right?Fort Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08864672502176766391noreply@blogger.com
