His hips finally gave out, and when he couldn't even walk to have his breakfast, we knew it was time. Thanks for the last 12 years, buddy, and I hope there are lots of rabbits where you are now.
I am sorry to hear of your loss Walt. Dogs teach us how to love. Pele will meet my bud Ajax on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge for a good game of rabbit. Mark

Oh Man, whats w/these dogs?!?!? I am truly sorry for your loss. I read blogs about friends and families dealing with death but the dog stories rip me up. Some folks don't quite understand the aftermath of a loss when it comes to pets but your empty bed photo captures it all. Pure Pain!! Stay Strong & Big Hugs
Oh Pele. You will be missed. Hugs to you all.

ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathies, Walt. My best friend in the world is fuzzy and has four paws, I can't imagine losing her. Remember the good times.

Oh, that's rough, Walt. Y'all did the best you could--time gets all of us eventually.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the empty bed and bowls is the saddest, most touching to me; the now unused items best describe the empty hole left behind.
ReplyDeletePele!
ReplyDeleteHe had it good.
